11th week

FERNANDO HUMANES

This week we have finished the challenge we have made with the Salesian center of Deusto. I believe that I have fulfilled the challenge, with the required parameters and within the marked time. The challenge has been very interesting and very different from other challenges we have made, since we have had to make the inmate through videoconferences and sharing files with other centers. Also say that it has been a bit chaotic since many times we did not agree to perform any operation, and having to understand each other by phone or videoconference was somewhat different and unusual. We have also had to make the plans of the set we have designed, we also had some problem when positioning the dimensions and geometric and dimensional tolerances. On Friday we made the presentation of the challenge, we made it in class through videoconference, the truth is that to be the first time we made that type of presentation it went very well.

This week we have finished the challenge with the students of the Salesian school of deusto located in Bilbao. This is the last week before catching the Christmas holidays so we had to deliver all the documents and make the respective presentations.

The challenge has been good. It has been a new experience to coordinate and work with people we did not know and get a project forward. We have learned a lot from each other and I think we get a good experience for the future. The only objection I can put to the challenge is that we have had very little time to create the report.

This week we have finished the proyect with the salesianos temates, so it was a difficult and stressfull we had to get everithing finish and ready to deliver. so we had a lot of videoconferences to secure all the work is done. Apart of beeing quite hard and intense proyect because we had to finish all the proyect in 2 weeks it was a very beautifull experience, be able to work with 2 completly strangers and apart of that get a very nice work with comunication one each other.

This week we have finished the project we have made with the Salesiano school (Deusto).
It has been very interesting and very different from other projects.
Everything went fine. We understanded eacheother just like if we ever worked before.
On Friday we made the presentation of the project. We made it in class through a videoconference. We didnt have much problems and everything went well.

10th week

FERNANDO HUMANES

  This week we continue working with the Deusto Salesian group to get the challenge out. Each group has had to make the final sketch and start designing it. We have made the final sketch decision by consensus and videoconference.
The group is very involved in this challenge, the challenge is very interesting. Today, Friday, we have delivered the three-D designed parts and delivered the assembly of the two subsets.

This set is homos designed in Maristak by Durango Fernando and Erik.
It has been a very ratifying and very entertaining work. I think the work done has been correct.

This week we have started to make all the pieces in catia. As we agreed last week in our group the maristak part is responsible for designing the part of the tool holder. In order to do everything right and to match all the pieces in the way they had to do it, we made another videoconference and agreed on what the measures were going to be and how all the pieces were going to match.
After designing all the pieces, we put the whole project together and made the assembly to be able to deliver it.

This week we continue with the proyect with the salesianos teamates, this time we star with the 

catia design. Our group made the toolholder and they made the turret. To have a control about how thing are going we had videoconferences, where we could speek togther and make a planing about how we was going to work and who is going to make different parts. One we speek we start making the asembly of the turret and the toolholder all together after we design and finish all the parts and we agree everithing is okay

This week have selected the sketches that we made, we started to design the parts on catia 3d. 

We agreed on videconferance what kind of design we were going to do for the tool holder. We also agreed what measures the tool was going to have and how we were going to attach both parts. 

After finishing each part, we had to make an assembly and send it to the teacher. We also had to make a Project explaining the details of the assambly, decisions and many other things we had to do.

9th week

This week we have started a new challenge with another Bilbao deusto center.
The challenge is to make a tool holder and a plate holder in common.
This first week of challenge we had to share the ideas, we shared the sketches we have made and we selected one. We have to hold at least two weekly meetings and we have to do them through videoconferencing.
To make them have given some deadlines that we have to respect. We have 1 month to complete the challenge. The challenge is to solve a problem we have in the workshop. The problem is to adjust a plate holder in the tool holder for proper operation on the lathe.

This is the problem we were raised.

This is the first week of our second challenge. In this case we are a group of 4 people but only two Maristak students. The other two members of the group belong to the Salesianos de Deusto school.

At first we got in touch with them via gmail and then we went to whatsapp.

The next thing we had to do was create an initial sketch and share it with the group. After this we decided which sketch to use as a reference and to distribute the work.

We have made the final sketch and we have begun to look for information and design.

This time we make gropu of 4 people, 2 people are from maristak durango and the other 2 are from salesianos deusto. The objetive here is to redisign the tool holder and the tower, the difficult part and the most important objetive is to lear how to work with people you are not with, so we have to use whatsapp to write one each other or hangouts to make videoconferences where we can speak.
The first days of the challenge we was meeting with the salesianos mates.

This week we have started a new challenge with another school that is from Bilbao (Deusto) named Salesiano. 

The challenge is to make a tool holder in common for the lathe.

This first week,  we had to share the ideas with  sketches, and select one that we most liked.

We have to make two video conferances a week and take some dicitions that we expose weekly.

 We have a month for finishing the challenge. The challenge is to solve a problem we have in a tool that we have to put on the lathe. It doesnt adjust as well because its tool small.

The problem is to adjust a plate holder in the tool holder for proper operation on the lathe.

This week has been exhausting, we had to make the end of the project and the presentation of the project.

At the beginning of the week we had part of the unfinished project, on Monday we had an important and serious planning in the group to organize ourselves well in order to present the challenge and the report.

We had to be more hours than normal to finish the project.

Didecando the hours we have dedicated to the project the project of the die we did not manage to complete it.

The day of the presentation was very nervous, we were lucky to be able to present our project to a person outside the center but very specialized.

He criticized us from which we learned a lot,

The presentation is made in front of students of other courses different from ours.

It was a different and constructive experience.

KEPA AGÜERO

this week was the worst, because we have to delivered the proyect, and for that we have to finish all the job. It was not an easy job. We have to organize very well and plan since monday, what wich part must do. We work very hard all over the week to finish the proyect and can make a good presentation. 

Although we work harder compared with the other weeks we were not able to delivered the 100% of the proyect, but at the same time we were proud about all the time we have done and the presentation we have made.

This has been one of the toughest weeks of the entire project. It has been the last week to deliver the project with what we have been quite stressed because we had to finish everything in order to deliver it.

We had to finish inserting all the elements in the die and this has been a difficult task since there were many small pieces that had to be inserted.

In addition to this we had to finish putting all the data and explain everything we have done in the document to deliver.

This took a lot of work and time since it was a lot of information to work with.

In addition to this document we have also had to create a powerpoint with all the important things we have done in the project to make the presentation in front of our classmates, those in the middle cycle and a specialist of a company.

All this caused us to be nervous and upset.

This week has been really hard, we had to finish our Project and preséntate it in front of many people. Including a man who has work many  years with dies. 

We had to organize the group for making all this posible. We stayed many days after class to finish the catia 3d drawing that we had to expose. 

The presentation day was a crazy day. We were very nervous because we new that we were going to expose this job in front of many people. 

After the presantation, the man criticized us, as a good way. The critics were good for achieving and for learning what we did wrong and what we should do the next time.

For me it was a hard experience because i am very shy and I dont like speaking in front of many people.

7th week

FERNANDO HUMANES

The project is taking shape, this week we have taken 3 exams, one with Julen, it was a catia exam, the second one was made of materials and we did it with Gaizka and the third exam was the English one. It has been a hard week for me. We continue to work hard and with the die assembly to overcome the challenge.

This week we have also started to tie the die plates with the corresponding screws.
We are already working to make the challenge report. We have distributed the work to make the report, each component of the group will be responsible for carrying out their work, but always with the help of the other components of the group if needed. We are analyzing the calculations of the die and the materials that make up the die. 

ALEX DEL RIO

This week we are inserting the final components of the die in catia and finising the assembly. We continue doing the document explaining all the proyect and how we have done everithing and why we made the decisions that we have made.

We measure a "sufridera" that the middle grade ones have to make. We did this in the three- dimensional machine with the help of software desing for that.

We also did an English exam, one of materials and one of catia.

We do a practice in which we saw a video with a story in which sexist acts were seen.

this week we continue with the design of the die, that wasnt easy because the time is ending, so we are so stressed trying to finish all the work in time, so we are working as harder as we can and probably that is not enaught.
Apart of that we measure the "sufridera" that the students of "mecanizado" have made and we start making the information document about the proyect so, deal with the design and asembly of the die and the document of the proyect both together is not an easy hob, but me and my teamates are doing our best




Unai Elorza This week had so many work. We are inserting some new parts in to the die. For making the inserting correctly, we are inserting the new parts into a die thats not going to publicated . It Will only be made for scraps. when we finish all the work it Will be erased from the computer. We do this for make measurments and changing on the parts that Will give us trouble with the assambly. We only have two weeks to finish it before making the presentation and it must be perfectly made.

6th week

This sixth week we continue with the design of the die.
The situations are complicated to complicate as we are advancing in the design of the die and every time it has more components.We are performing the die assembly, some components of the equipment are dedicated to the assembly and other components of the equipment are dedicated to designing the standard components that the die carries.We are also doing exercises with Nagore, those exercises teach us to cactify the failure that a piece can have and so we can detect and improve the errors.

We have been working with the three-dimensional machine.

Nagore is teaching us how to make plans to be able to measure the pieces.

In the afternoon I go to Marists to reinforce catia, in this way I will gain more confidence and fluidity when it comes to managing the program to design catia.

UNAI ELORZA

This week, we worked with the die inserting parts that we made in different computers. 

We also made a job for Iranzu making a brain storming in the group for knowing ideas of what kind of dossier we had to make. We  made a slogan for our company and also made a C.V. for Richard.

Most of our working time goes on the die, its very complicated to keep everything right or in the position. Any mistake and our job Will not let us go on assembling the die.

This week we continue inserting diferent parts and pieces to complete the die. First we had to design the pieces on different computers and send them to Fernando well appointed to be able to insert them.

We have practically spent all our time doing that. With Iranzu we made a brain storming and we decided the final slogan and we deliver two powerpoints to evaluate us.

I finish the C.V and a letter to delviver to Richard.

This sixth week we still continue with de asembli of the die, and it is getting more difficult because as the same time we are going ahead with the proyect the tree of the assembly gets bigger and bigger and it is difficult sometimes to find what you want to really find, so we have learnt that we have to be organized to make our job easier and optimice our time because have no much time to finish the proyect and all the team is working hard to make it.

This week we continue with the die design. We continue making assemblies of the commercial elements and of the constructive elements. We are doing all this assembly work with Professor Gaizka. With Julen we have used different icons to design piers and docks in catia.


We have learned to make some tables in catia. These tables are made in excel, consists of putting parameterized measurements of the piece in the excel, so that we can insert them in catia. In this way, you have the entire parameterized piece and you can modify all the measurements of the pieces without damaging the piece.

Unai Elorza This week we spoke with the group of mecanizing to know what they were doing with the Project that we have to do together. We made some sort of document with ideas for knowing where we can fail with the assigned job. We got to some kind of a acord for stucturing the work. We also worked with the die assambly the whole week and other parts on 3D with the program called Catia.

This week we continue with the assembly of the die disaining and inserting comercial elements.

With Julen we desing more pieces in catia to learn new shapes to desing and we draw 4 planes rised hands.

With Nagore we continue seen more theory about normal curve. We have observed some dates and make a grafic.

This week we continue with the assembly of the die, this time comercial elemets, the work is getting harder as the same time we are going forward.

Whith Julen we continue making parameters of mesure, because it is a quite hard work and it is okay to improve our skills.

Nagore teach us how to make normal curve. It is interesting to take somo stats ofyou work how it is going and have a control of it

4rd week

This fourth week we continue learning to parameterize the pieces with Julen.

We are learning to enter the parameterization data of a piece in an excel and enter it directly in catia.

We have also parameterized the die matrix plate.

We have also made a visit to Mercedes de Vitoria.

The visit was spectacular we saw a company of last generation and very robotic.

This week we start parametrizing the proyect tree. At this moment we parametreze base and the "sufridera". The parameters are used to change the dimensions of the pieces easier. To do all this parametres Gaizka and Julen explain us how do it and we practice doing diferent pieces.

We start introducing the normaliced pieces to our proyect and we continue creating and parametricing the rest of the parts.

On this week we are working on Parametrizing measurements. That way we can change the measumeants whenever we want . We are also making more parts for the die and each one of us in the group has a job to do. I have to work on stardard tools and parts that we can find on a catalog and draw them for the asembly for our die.

These week we continue working in the die, these part is a little bit complicated comparing with the past week, we have to parametrize all the plates and all we have done, parametrize is for making the different pieces the size we want easier, in other words is a little complicated work, to make te work bee easier in the future. 

Julen is who teach us how to make parameters and Gaizke teach us how to apply the parameters in the tree. 

3rd week

FERNANDO HUMANES

In this third week, we have been parameterizing pieces in catia with Julen. These settings will come in handy to design the die. We have also been with Gaizka working on the catia tree, we have designed the guide columns of the die, the parameterized homos and we have assembled them.

We have also made a design ANFE with Nagore. With this ANFE we will be able to minimize the errors we may have in the design of our die. This work tool is very positive and very visual to improve and correct design failures of our die.

This week we insert in our trees the die we select te first week and in this way all the teamates have the same pieces in the proyect tree. Then we desing the plates and the colum to centrate the plates and then we insert it on the proyect tree.

With Julen we start parametrizing pieces to do easier if we need change the measurements.

We also made a desing ANFE with nagore. In the ANFE we have to think about what could be a possible mistake and how we can minimize it. UNAI ELORZA

On the week of October 21, we made our first part and put it in the Catia tree. We are still working on this program. As I said before, we dont have much time for working on other things. We also made an AMFE to know what can give problems and what can can be good or bad for us for designing the die and the parts that we must put in.

In these week we star making our own design tree for our team die. After that we star workin on the tree ñearning how we can add plates to the work and make them fit together. Also we asembly      4 columns in the work and to finish we add to the proyect the sheet metal we chose, that was                fernandos but we change couple of things to improbe the design and make our job the better we          can. The result of all of that is the following picture. At the beggining it seems very difficult job to      do, but now a day we are more advantage and more comfortable dealing with all problemes we            can have

2nd week

This second week, we have made some custom templates in catia with julen.
We will use these templates to make the drawings of the pieces we design in catia.

We have also been with Gaizka ordering and organizing the catia tree to begin designing the die.
This week we have held a meeting to distribute the work and the position that each member of the group will take to make the die.
We have assigned members of the group to make calculations, others to atminist the design and order of the die.

This week we made the piece box in catia. This we will use to give information about the piece when we make planes and to give information about who draw the piece. 

With Gaizka we start doing the proyect tree in catia. First Gaizka explain us what pieces we need to create a troquel. Then we start doing the tree with the method to sort folders explained by Gaizka. In this way we always know where are all the pieces we need. All the teamates do his own tree with his die.

On the 14th of October, we started the day with our teacher Julen.  We made some custom templates so that way we can give measurements to our mates from the mecanizing class.

The same day,  we started to make a tree on the program of Catia with Gaizka. This is for ordenating folders that we use for assembling parts on Catia for making the die. 

We spent the whole week  on this program and we dont have much time to work on other assignments.

these week the most important things we learn were, learning how to design one catia stecil to use when we have to make some drawing, but the most important thing we have learn was, how to make and understand the catia tree. These tree is where all the process are made,sometimes it can be so confussing because its structure, that sometime you dont know where is that you are looking at. we still  have to much  job to do and thing to learn. Apart of that also we were with the cordinate measuring machine learning the basick of how to use the machine
